At the ski school Merano 2000 everyone can improve their technique .

Throughout the season, we organise special lessons for children in addition to private lessons and group courses.

The participants not only learn the traditional skiing techniques but also the latest disciplines i.e. snowboarding and the "new school", under the watchful eye of our instructors.

Doing sport in the open air on the "sunny terraces" that overlook the curative town is truly relaxing.

Youngsters find the best: an area entirely dedicated to them with nursery skiing and magic carpets with professional assistance by qualified staff.

At the new children's area "Lucky's Kinderland" the novice youngsters learn to ski by playing.

By request we organise outings to other skiing districts, with an instructor at your complete disposition for the day .

Merano 2000.

The district today known as Merano 2000 owes much to the skier Hans Trojer, pioneer in the sector of cableways, who in the 1950s brought it to attention thus contributing to the first recreational area.

In 1964 the first chair lift was initiated, flanked through the years by other ski-lifts, chair lifts and cable cars.

From 1968 to 2010,the cable car of Ivigna continued to take guests from Merano directly to Merano 2000.

After 42 years of service In February 2010 the cable car Monte Ivigna closed and was rebuild in the record time of 10 months.

In December 2010 the new cable car Merano 2000 was launched.

The installation presents a modern design and the technical characteristics of the latest generation, with a carrying capacity of 120 people, there is a intermediate request station situated half way on the route and an ascent time of only seven minutes it is one of the most modern and innovative cable car at world level.
